New Four-Wheel Rollator for Triinu

Dear Friends!

A couple of years ago, we supported Triinu, who lives in Lääne-Nigula and suffers from multiple sclerosis, with a project to help her renovate her apartment. Thank you to all our supporters.

We are reaching out to you again with a request to help us purchase a new four-wheel rollator for Triinu, as her old one is in very poor condition and can no longer be repaired. OÜ Empatrax is supporting us in the purchase of the four-wheel rollator and is willing to offer an additional discount on top of the discounted price with a referral from a medical doctor. Normally, a four-wheel rollator costs around 300 euros, but in this case, the cost would be only 200 euros. Thank you, Empatrax OÜ!

In addition to the four-wheel rollator, Triinu has a 300-euro debt for electricity bills, which accumulated during the winter and spring. She had to heat her apartment with electric radiators to maintain some warmth and prevent freezing, as the previous apartment owner took the modular stove with them, and there is still no heating source in the apartment.

The local municipality government came to our aid and helped Triinu get new glasses, and currently, electrical work is ongoing in her apartment to replace and update everything necessary. We wholeheartedly thank the local government!

Unfortunately, their hands are tied when it comes to subsistence benefits, as by law, it can only be paid if the remainder of a person’s money is less than 200 euros. Triinu has just a bit over this amount, which she uses to pay for the electric stove and refrigerator she bought on installment. These are essential items for living but unfortunately not considered expenses by law. Her disability allowance is not enough to cover all these expenses. In addition to the aforementioned items, we also need mineral wool to insulate the exterior walls of her apartment.
